CURIOUS ACCIDENT LEFT THE CAR ROLLED OVER A BRIDGE ELEVATION IN MAHIKENG 
MAHIKENG – A government official survived a curios accident unharmed when his car rolled over the bridge elevation on the R49 road that links Mahikeng with Zeerust. An official who was driving a government registered sedan says he had just off-ramped onto the local road about three kilometres before entering the Mahikeng CBD when an oncoming taxi veered onto his lane. In avoiding what would have been a head-on collision on top of the bridge, as he was negotiating the bend, he applied breaks and the car swung on the bridge precipice. The car trundled over the steeply edge of the road and was blocked by City’s advertising dowels from rolling further down. Though the vehicle was damaged, the official appeared unscathed. The swift response by the Provincial Traffic officers assisted the official to get out of the car before the tow truck was called. Next Articles+ |
